What is Therapeutic Yoga?
Therapeutic yoga refers to applying techniques and practices to support people facing physical and mental health challenges.

Along with its sister discipline Ayurveda, yoga has been practiced therapeutically for thousands of years. Krishnamacharya – known as the father of modern yoga – often integrated therapeutic elements into yoga.

More recently, therapeutic yoga has emerged as a discipline of its own. Working one-on-one In a therapeutic yoga session, the practitioner will tailor a practice to each individual client’s health conditions. These conditions can range from physical ailments to emotional distress.

In a therapeutic yoga session, you will work one-on-one with the practitioner to find yoga poses (asana), pranayama(breathing), mudras(hand positioning) that will be of benefit to you. You will be given a plan to do at home in between sessions.

Our Therapeutic Yoga program consists of 11 sessions.
